Question Help! Rx580 shuts down pc!

Hello, I have 2 rx580 8gb. When I plug one of them to pc and try to turn it on,red light just blinks and pc shuts down. Everything seems to be plugged. First thought that its dead,but it still shows some form of life indication. When I plug tur other one,everything works fine.

Any ideas what happened and is it repairable?

What power supply? Also why 2? Crossfire and sli are fading fast and aren't really completely useful.

I use 650w psu,so it should be enough. 2 is because one is my friends,took it for testing reasons

Quality over quantity. There are way too many PSUs that do not report the actual 12V wattage (which is what matters) and they report the total wattage from 12V, 5V and 3V.

What is the exact make, model and age of your PSU?

COOLER MASTER MWE Bronze 650W V2 about 2 weeks old. I dont believe its psu,cuz when I put other rx580 in the same pc its works,but with the broken one it just doesnt. When I press the power button of the pc,gpu light near 8 pin connector blinks red and pc shuts down before turning on.

Since your other GPU runs without a problem then yes,the problem relies in the first GPU. If you still have warranty RMA it.

That said, cooler master makes great cases, but they aren't known for great PSUs.

Yeah,but the problem is that the other gpu works well with that psu,so i dont believe psu is faulty

We don't know which RX 580s they are. Some of the better binned OC cards require more power than the lower end , so one might be getting enough from the PSU, the other may not. If that isn't the case, then it does sound like a faulty GPU.

Its xfx rx580 8gb,both are the same.
