Hey guys, this is my first post and I know there are some similar threads that already exist, but I haven't had any luck with the solutions yet.

So I'm building a computer with these specs:
Ryzen 7 1800x
MSI x370 SLI plus
2x4GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000mhz RAM
Corsair H105 Liquid Cooler
Corsair TX650M PSU
Gigabyte GTX 1080 windforce edition

So I built the system (minus the gpu) and tried to turn it on, and I got nothing. No lights, fans, nothing. I checked all my connections and they were good. Tried to turn it on, nothing again. I performed a PSU test with a paper clip and it worked, I put the PSU in another computer and it worked. Tried booting again in the new PC with a different outlet, nothing. Tested the new system with a new power supply, nothing. Keep in mind I'm trying each time with the button on my case and by shorting the pins. So I eventually got sick of doing this and returned the motherboard (direct swap) b/c one of the threads here said to do that. I tried with the new mobo and there was nothing again. Then I returned the CPU and RAM (direct swap) and it's the same story, no lights, no fans, nothing happens at all. This is my first expensive build and it's kind of getting to me, any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Edit: Also cleared CMOS.

No beeps, no lights, no fans. My system test was just the CPU and cooler, Motherboard, RAM, and PSU essentially. I would expect the fans or lights to come on whether or not the GPU was complete with the system and had a monitor plugged in.

Like I said, no fans in the PC whatsoever spun, lights on the motherboard, light on the CPU cooler, lights on the power buttons etc turn on. Would the lack of a graphics card prevent me from seeing if my other components work? Logically I should see the fans spin up at least a bit and lights come on. I'll test with a gpu but I don't think it will change anything.

I won't POST without a GPU, I am 90% sure.

If you aren't even getting debug LEDs or anything then the board is not getting power or something isn't connected properly.

Have you tried shorting the power on the board instead of using the switch?

As stated, I've tried with both IO pins connected to the buttons and without by shorting the power pins on the mobo. The mobo itself doesn't have a test power button. Tried with a GPU by shorting and with power button, got the same result, no fans, no lights, no post.

Not sure man, that doesn't really make sense. Especially with a new mobo, CPU, RAM, and tested working PSU.

If you have gone through the no POST checklist I am at a loss right now. I'll think about it.
