Merry Xmas everyone!
Recently you guys helped me pick out a case for my new build, and with everything put together I have decided to get a shiny new display.
My current rig has HD6970 GPUs x2 set up with crossfire. This card outputs to displayport, not mini-displayport, and DVI. I would prefer a monitor that functions under one of these connections so I can avoid converters. My budget is between 3-400$ for each monitor and I believe I want two.
I looked at http://www.amazon.com/ViewSonic-VA2702W-27-Inch-Widescreen-Monitor/dp/B0041G633W/ref=zg_bs_1292115011_4
and

I am not a professional gamer, but I do game occasionally. I tend to need a great deal of screen real estate as I have to reference multiple documents/spreadsheets at once and I dont like tabbing through them all. I am unsure how much, if at all, I would need "backlighting." Appreciate any tips you guys have for me!
Cheers!
