Hi, I'm trying to hook up my Sansui tv to my PC so it can work as a monitor, but all I get is a black screen, and when I unplug the tv from my PC it says no signal. Please help me!
I need a bit more info from you. Are you plugging the TV into the onboard video or a graphics card? Are you using VGA, DVI, HDMI, or something else? What kind of TV are you using?

Do you have another monitor to test on? If so, what happens when you plug the same VGA cable into your test monitor? If not, what happens when you try your TV in your onboard graphics?

I have another monitor that works just fine. I don't know the model, but it is a Sony and it works at 1280 x 1024.

So this monitor works with the same VGA cable plugged into your graphics card? If so, then it's either a TV issue or a driver issue. Do you have a spare VGA cable so that we can test some stuff out?

I don't think I have another cable, but I should mention that I reduced the resolution to 1280 x 720 and 1024 x 768 but it still didn't work.
