Question My system won't power on ?

Hello

I need some help as new system won't even power on. I had this PC built by a reputable company, so I didn't build/assemble it myself. Power cable is connected and two lights come on, a red power light and a green reset light/button on the mobo.

Pressing the red power button does nothing, same with the physical button on the case. There is a small green light that lights up, showing that there is a problem but it isn't specific. I need some help to figure out how to get my PC running. I can provide specs as needed, mobo is Asus Pro WS WRX80E-SAGE SE WIFI II , CPU Threadripper, Nvidia 4090 GPU.

The small green warning light is down the bottom right of the mobo near internal data ports, the mobo manual is no help.

Thanks for help

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

I can provide specs as needed, mobo is Asus Pro WS WRX80E-SAGE SE WIFI II , CPU Threadripper, Nvidia 4090 GPU.

Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.

Might want to inspect the CPU's socket for any bent or broken pins.

Had this PC built my a reputable company, so I didn't build/assemble it myself.
If the system was build by someone else, was it verified working before this thread's creation?

The red and green light you are refering to should be on all the time .... then you say a green light indicates you have a problem ???

on motherboards their are quite a few lights that will be on all the time even if the pc is plugged in but not turned on. .... if your psu switch is off i dont know if those light should be on by taking " spare " power from an earth wire on a plug ...... sounds silly i know but thats how landlines work in a power cut.

So ... just in case i am on the right track have a look if the psu switch is on .... easy to accidentally turn off when you pick a pc up .

If that does not work contact the company who built the pc , in the box their should be a prepaid label for you to send the pc back

Specs:
Mobo: Asus Pro WS WRX80E-SAGE SE WIFI II
CPU: Ryzen Threadripper PRO 5975WX
GPU: Asus RTX 4090 OC
RAM: Kingston Fury Beast Black 32GB
CPU cooler: vdeep cool lyú20 liquid cooler
Storage: 4 x 3.5" HDD, 3 x M.2 SSDs (can be more specific if needed)
PSU: Corsair RM 850 80 Plus Gold
Chassis: Dark Base Pro 901
Monitor: Alienware 32" 4k OLED
OS: Ubuntu

I don't think a lot of this is relevant but there you go. System was built in Dec 2022

So the red light I was referring to is on the small power button located on the mobo. The green is the reset, and down from that is a tiny green light that flashes continuously.

From the manual it's indicating something's wrong but not sure what. I just got PC back from place of purchase for warranty replacement of chassis and mobo, so I really don't want to send it back if I can fix myself.
