Question Help to install Nvidia drivers

Just built my PC and everything is working beside installing the version 419.35 graphics driver. It says Nvidia installer cannot contunue. This nvida graphics driver is not compatible with this version of windows. I have Windows 10 Pro 64 bit and it's active. I have an EVGA 2080ti FTW3 Ultra Hybrid. All other drivers that I downloaded from the motherboards website worked just fine. Any help would be appreciated.

choose run.,...
type winver and press enter

current versions are 1803 & 1809, what are you on?

After I posted I went to settings and clicked update and it downloaded abunch of window updates and now on Windows version 1703. Tried installing driver again and still error. More updates for windows. Let me check.

Went to check for more updates and it says window version 1803. I'll post after the update and see if that worked.

you need to have the latest version of the os on or driver wont update .
