Hello all,
I've recently found out that the heating up issues associated with the small form factors of Intel NUCs was (likely) due to dust build up, and cleaning would require some rather finicky dissembly. Instead of that, I'm planning on turning the NUC into a (distant, low-demand use) secondary system and hoping that some parts can be used in a larger bare-bones form factor.
The parts that I hope to reuse are:
RAM: (@ https://www.directdial.com/ca/item/900853 ; "Device Supported: Notebook")
Visiontek
1 x 16GB
PC4-17000
DDR4
2133MHz
260-pin
SODIMM
HARD DRIVE - M.2:
Samsung 850 EVO MZ-N5E250BW
250 GB Internal Solid State Drive
HARD DRIVE - notebook/laptop size.
Can anybody advise the largest bare-bones form factor I can use the above parts in? Ideally, I could use all three, but I'd be okay with just being able to reuse the RAM.
Thanks.
