So I recently started having problems with my PC. It happened a few weeks ago once or twice then seemed to go till this week when it came back with a vengeance. It began with me playing a game. It wouldn't let me change the resolution to full screen of any other resolution than the standard one. It had previously let me do it several times. Also, I usually have 2 accounts open at the same time. It refused to let me and when I tried it made the screen go black. The rest of the PC was on and at first I could still hear the PC sounds so I'd restart it. Now I tried several games and some work fine and some cause the black screen error. Even older games like CSGO started to do it to me today for the first time. I could play more graphically demanding games though which I found weird. Now I don't just get the screen going black, I get a weird sound that sounds like a loud electronic scream in my ears, it is possible this is down to the games ending instantly. I have no clue what's causing it. It always restarts with no issues after I restart it. I've checked for dust bunnies and ran some benchmarks but I can't figure it out. I only know it's getting worse very quickly. PLEASE HELP!!

Thanks in advance

sorry i copied the specs from the original purchase. I have 16gb of ram now. The psu is onyl a bog standard one. If it makes a difference I can take the side off to see but I don't think it will. i don't play the big games. I have been playing the same games for years and I have never had an issue at all. The PC is 16 months old so it shouldn't be having issues. The most recent game I play is Paragon and I have no problems with that.

I decided to try an old game so I fired up Team Fortress 2, released 2007. As with the others, it worked for a few rounds then did the screen cutout to blank screen. Idid figure that I was right about the electronic sound being the game ending suddenly.
