Help turning on PC

My computer boots up and then when it goes to Windows, it stops working and the screen goes black. I reset it twice and did a system restore twice and it still hasn't worked. I have a PowerPoint presentation due Monday and I desperately need help turning it on. I don't know if there is a command prompt code I need to know but whatever it is I need help.

Try booting it into safe mode and if it can do that, then get a repair disk.

What do you mean it doesn't work? Can you describe what happens? Can you enter safe mode? Does the anti virus program not work? Does the computer not boot right? Also, use a better title next time. Your lucky I'm even here to try to help you. Most people just though "help with turning on a pc?", press the button... Well that is not the problem you're having is it? I am just saying.

No matter what I do the same thing happens it goes to the Windows boot logo and it stops halfway and the monitor just goes black just like in the video. Btw thanks.

Can you get intro safe mode without networking? Could you try a repair disk? If those things fail I guess I would try another hard drive. You could also try one ram stick and then the other.

I'm not sure how to get it into safe mode any more because it's not giving me that option.

Ok, so try this. Turn on your computer and when it gets to the windows logo screen. Hold down the power button until it shuts off. Then turn it back on, and it should give you many options including safe mode. I think there is actually a bad driver or an infinite loop thing might be turned on. Try looking at this site.

Try the steps they suggested in the site i gave you. There is more than just safe mode.
