Help understanding HDCP 2.2 Restrictions

Hey

So i am looking into buying a new tv with plans to hook up my computer to it via HDMI 2.0, however tv's that im looking at are using HDCP as the restriction.

My computer is using a MSI GTX 980 with an ASROCK Extreme 4 motherboard.

Would i still be able to view my 4K content or will i be locked out, as im struggling to understand at what side the restrictions take place. from the looks of things though the 980 is not 2.2, only 960/980 ti/ titan x

The GTX 980 apparently only supports HDCP 1.3, according to nVidia.
