Hi all,
I'm in the process of planning to build a new computer for college (https://pcpartpicker.com/list/yY63XH) and ran into a problem.
The Gigabyte GA-Z170N motherboard I have comes with a BIOS that doesn't support the 7th Generation i7-7700 I'm planning on building with it. I don't have another CPU that could go into the build and was wondering how I would go about updating the BIOS. I've heard about 'Q-Flash' but I have no idea what that is or how it would work. Do I just need to take it into a local computer shop and get it updated or can I somehow boot it from a USB with the new 7700.
I really like the motherboard I'm looking at right now (WiFi, Bluetooth, Thunderbolt, etc) but if it's neccesary I can change the build and am still open to being flexible with the whole build since you all know much more than I do.
Any suggestions?
Thank you in advance!
