Help Upgraded To SSD

I Updated From a 1T HDD to a 1T SSD im keeping most of my files and data on an external 3T Hardrive and i did a Fresh install of Windows 10 on my new SSD , I have already Installed Re-Installed my games and programs on my new SSD , But im looking to wipe all the data from my old HHD and use it for additional storage space . I Tried to plug in my old HHD I can see it under my Device Manager but not under my PC , Can any one tell me what to do and how to clear it of its data ? Here are some of my spec's if needed

GPU: GeForce GTX 960
CPU: AMD FX(tm)-8350 Eight-Core Processor
Memory: 32GB RAM
OS: Windows 10 64bit
MOBA: ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0
External Hard Drive: WD 3TB
Internal SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 1 TB
Internal HHD: WD 1TB

Can you elaborate more on the deletion and creation, I deleted What looked to be my old drive From the list , I Right Clicked and Deleted Volume. Now how do i Create and what will this do ? is there any other steps ?
