Hi folks!

I am looking to upgrade at least my GPU (XFX5850, non ref card)...I think I bought in Jan 2010 and has served me well. I usually play Driving games or FPS (rfactor/rfactor2/Dirt3/NFS and MOH/MOHW/COD4). Here are system specs below, but I am curious as to what GPU to upgrade to and if I need to upgrade anything else?

CPU: AMD Phenom 955BE (OC'd to 3.9 GHZ and water cooled)
MOBO: Gigabyte MA-785GMT
RAM: 12 GB GSKILL DDR3
GPU: XFX 5850 non ref ed.
PS: Corsair TX750
Display: 3 x 22" 1080p monitors (EDIT: run most at 6080x1080)

I'd rather not spend $300 on a single card at the moment, but if I have to, then I have to. Main problem I see is that the GPU can't play MOH/MOHW/DIRT3 on ULTRA/HIGH/even MED settings somtimes without it being well below 35 FPS.

GPU Upgrade and CPU upgrade...is one going to bottleneck the other?

Thanks in advance!

you could always do what i have and add another 5850. Crossfire 5850's are about equal to a GTX 580/ 7950 and would be enough to max out most of today's games with good fps

Unfortunately, i'd need a new mobo to crossfire, so for cost...I'd lean toward single card.

Sounds like 7870 or 7950? Can the 7870 OC safely? I never could get the 5850 to OC without screen issues, so I abandoned it for stability.
