I have a HP p7-1003w running Amd Athlon II X4 650 processor 3.2 GHz. I just upgraded the Video card and was looking into upgrading the processor to a faster one but all the options above mine on my list are slower for some reason. Can someone please help me. Maybe i'm just reading it wrong. Or maybe i should Look for another PC to try and put some work into.

Solution
The Thermal Design Power (TDP) is the average maximum power a processor can dissipate while running commercially available software. TDP is primarily used as a guideline for manufacturers of thermal solutions (heatsinks/fans, etc) which tells them how much heat their solution should dissipate.

•Max TDP: 95W
Only Socket AM3 processors are supported with this motherboard.

AMD Phenom II X6 1035T
AMD Phenom II X6 1055T (125W) - not supported, TDP too high
AMD Phenom II X6 1055T (95W)
AMD Phenom II X6 1045T
