[SOLVED] Help upgrading from i5 9600 to i9 9900

I have a pc with MSI z390 motherboard with i5 9600. I changed the processor to a i9 9900k and doesn’t work. Could it be my power supply (700W) or would I just need to update the bios. Any help would be. Greatly appreciated.

Your psu is enough (if it's actually a good 700 unit)
I'd bet you just did not install it correctly, or bent some pins.

Before you check and reseed it, try clearing CMOS.

Is the BIOS up to date? Some of the 9900Ks were a later stepping that needed a BIOS update.
