Hello, I currently have a i5-4690K installed in my Maximus VI Formula mobo and I have been trying to upgrade to a i7-4790K. I already installed the current BIOS but I am still having problems getting it running. I have already tried 3 different CPUs from Amazon. The CPU LED on my mobo stays lit upon start up. What am I doing wrong? Any advice. Maybe a possible mobo issue. I do not think so because my i5 works fine when I put it in it starts right up. I cleared CMOS as well. On the ASUS web site is says that BIOS 1505 is the one to use for this CPU. I am at a dead end now. Please help!

Do you have drives, etc hooked up? Might disconnect - also start with a single stick of DRAM. If fine with the 4690K the the 4790K should also be good to go. Another option would be to check with Asus - you could PM their rep here on the forums he goes by raja@asus
