Hi there,

I have a Philip ToUCam Pro (740) webcam.
It worked fine for more then a year.

But all of a sudden, the picture is now "upside-down".
This cannot be corrected in the standard utility software, or even in the
Operating System (XP Pro).

I asked the Philips helpdesk (email) and got this unbelievable stupid
answer:

"Remove ALL usb drivers in your system, and install again."

Sleep nicely, Philips.

I connected the camera to already 9 different systems, and always the dsame
problem: picture upside down.
Problem is IN the camera, NOT in the computer.

To make a long story short:

Anyone of you knows how to correct the INTERNAL settings of the Philips 740
ToUCan Pro webcam, or knows techie-guys that could help me out??

Thanks a lot!!

PS: A solution would be, to put the webcam upside down: problem gone, heh
heh, but I'm looking for a REAL solution.

Turn off "hardware acceleration" and nothing else.

I've had my video flipped upside down when an application that
uses the WMD drivers is installed. I get around this by
reinstalling my origional capture card drivers and the video is
upright again.

Hi there and THANKS a lot for your answer.

You are talking about a "capture card"

I'm not using a capture card, and don't have any WMD drivers installed.

Any more hints???
