Question HELP URGENT! my external drive swapped from E to H and now i cant use it

recently my usb ports got messed up so now that i fixed them i start up my pc and everything is normal, well my WD passport 4tb external harddrive that i use to store all my stuff on appears as drive H instead of E and now i can't launch any of my apps on it. when i click on them they say "please insert a disc into usb drive (E"

PLEASE HELP!

Might want to see what Disk Management shows your drive allocations as.

Likely, you can just change the drive letter from what it is now, to E.

Likely, you can just change the drive letter from what it is now, to E.

i tried that but E isnt available cuz it shows that e was previously used but isnt available anymore as if its a dif drive and ill send it, but it might take a minute cuz im not sure how to use imgur

open, explore, change drive letter and paths, format, shrink volume, delete volume, properties, and help.
if i click change drive letter i can select several letters but E isnt a option

yes H used to be E.
and i have my mouse, keyboard, and the WD passport.
do u need to know like everything else connected that appears in the device managers?

mouse-kbd will not show in Disk Management.

Disk 0, Disk 1....what are those?
There is a lot of that Disk Management window we out here do not see.

ok so basicaly ive been trying that and this time i just took a risk and deleted the old e drive that was there cuz it glitched idk why and reassigned it to the1 i wanted as it and now it works, ty for the help man!
