[SOLVED] Help-USB devices not starting until after Windows boots (can't access BIOS or boot list)

So today, I was trying to wipe a hard drive for a friend, when I ran into issues getting into the boot list to boot into DBAN, where my keyboard was completely powered off and unresponsive, preventing me from getting into the bios or the boot list. I have reset the bios twice with no results after the initial post. After the computer starts to boot into windows, everything turns on completely fine, but after the post screen goes past. Any ideas of what's going on or how I can fix this?

Solution
Probably need to enable legacy USB compatibility in BIOS and make sure your keyboard is plugged into a direct chipset USB port, not an ASMedia or other extra USB port. Check your manual for which ports are native.
