So upfront, I am not an experienced PC gamer. I have a Samsung Notebook 9 Pro with GeForce GTX 950M graphics card, and I figured this would be sufficient enough to play the new Doom game. Problem is every time I try to play it, the FPS is so unbearably low that it makes it impossible to play. I've tried changing the setting in both NVIDIA control panel as well as the Intel Graphics control panel, but nothing seems to work. Am I just out of luck or is there something that I'm missing. Thanks

Make sure you have the latest drivers for your Nvidia GPU. Doom is an OpenGL game, and support from AMD and Nvidia's drivers for that API under Windows tends to be not that great, as Id is pretty much the only big developer out there that uses OpenGL outside of Linux or MacOS ports of their games. As such, having the latest driver with the optimizations for Doom is rather important for having good performance. If there is no driver update for Doom available for your mobile GPU yet, then you're probably just going to have to sit tight and wait.
