Question help!!! very weird ram issue on my new board.

very weird I just built a new pc, and im using a msi tomahawk b450 board, ryzen 5 2600 cpu, and corsair 3000mhz 32gb 16x2 sticks vengeance rgb pro ram. whats going on is the system bios/windows is saying I have 32gb of ram but its only letting me use 16gb weird, please someone help. so it says I have a total of 32gb but only registers 16gb.

I have not done any of those, the ram sticks are in slots a2 and b2 like the user manual says to do, should I turn xmp on and see if that works?

was the ram sold in a kit or were the sticks purchased separately? did you update your motherboard to the latest BIOS?

yes was sold to me as a kit 32gb 16x2 sticks, bios is one behind the newest, so there is one bios file I can update to. should I switch slots to a1 and b1?

also the ram was working fine in my other gaming rig.

weird cause task manager and cpu-z says I have a total of 32gb of ram, it also says 16gb is reserved,,,,, why?

msi told me to first switch slots then if that doesn't work to then flash the bios. what do you think?

ok I just switched the slots to a1 and b3 and it seems to be registering all 32gb now, will keep testing to see if it stays that way or not.
