I have a question,
Soon my new pc arrive's, a HP Pavilion T390 PIV 3.0Ghz. The problem is there is a FX5200 Nvidia Video card onboard. In my old system i have a Asus 8200 Deluxe 64mb card, now i cannot find a decent site to match these two cards. Wich one is faster, i play a lot of 3dgames on line, and i prefer them to play in the highest resolution also (1024x768 with all details on max). Can someone tell me, if i have to put my GF 8200 in the pavilion or use the FX5200?

Thanks!

The Asus is a GF3ti (now either a 200 or a 500 depending on type supposedly) so you may need to take the 200 series results with a grain of salt.

According to this comparison (thanks to GW) which is likely one of the few to put a GF3 against a few FX5200(s), it wins and loses some. It also depends largely on the speed of the FX5200 you have (and will depend on if it's a crippled 64bit memory example too). Once you can figure out exactly which FX5200 you have then you can better decide. The FX5200 has some additional features, but they aren't really worthy of a card that slow. So it's not an easy decision, but that review should help somewhat.

The FX 5200 chip would be faster but with onboard stuff they changes up the speeds.

the FX5200 is a 128mb vid card, onboard, the funny thing is , my wife has also the fx5200 onboard with a AMD3000+ , but in the game medal of honor she still cannot put all details on high, i have now a PIV 1.5 at the moment and i can put on more details, so i think then is (without buying a new card at the moment) i will replace my old card (asus 8200 Deluxe) in my new system then. or are there any people disagree?
