Help Want process until I place the mouse to the (X) then

When I click the mouse on a program( doesn't matter which one), the program start to open but there are blanks spot and it's like the screen is frozen but not. When I move my mouse to the upper top right screen to the (X)( I don't have to do nothing else) then the program opens and to continue I have to do it again .It's like the (X) is the execute. Do I Have a Virus

lets see if it is windows

right click start button
choose command prompt (admin)
type SFC /scannow and press enter

this scans system files and may fix this behaviour

then type chkdsk /r in same window and hit enter

that checks hdd

what are specs of PC? do you have ssd or hdd? How much free space on ssd/hdd?
