Hello. I have this WD Elements 1023 2TB that I haven't used for years. I decided to use it now but somehow I can not access it.
It doesn't show up on my HDD List on my computer but it is recognized in "Device Manager". On the other hand, when I check the "Disk Management", It shows "Online" but not initialized. When I tried to initialized it, it says, "Access Denied". Regardless whether I select MBR or GPT.
Here are some screenshots of some of my troubleshooting including Command Prompt.
Option 1: Disk Management
(this occurs when I try to initialize it with either GPT or MBR)
Option 2: Device Manager
(I tried to uninstall and reinstall it via device manager but the problem still insist.)
Option 3: Via Command Prompt
as you can see, it fails to clear the attributes. even converting it, it says access denied.
These are the methods I tried to solve the issue but no luck so far. I hope you can help me.
