Question HeLP what Am I supposed to do.

I just started up my dad's old win7 PC and got an error code and the win repair opened itself. I let it run and then the PC started normally. After that the mouse does not work anymore. I try to open taskmanager and find out the keyboard doesn't either. I restart the PC, same. I try a different mouse, same. I think it deleted all the drivers including the USB driver., because everytime I plug in a mouse it tries to download drivers from the Internet. In theory I know how to fix the problem but what am I supposed to do if I can't control anything. I don't have a second PC to get a driver. And it's my dad's old PC (he passed away 4 years ago).. And yesterday it started up fine. HELP

When the transition from usb2.0 to 3.0 happened, win 7 did not include usb3 drivers.
Does the motherboard have a PS/2 port?

If so, try connecting a PS/2 keyboard or mouse.
