Help! When typing online some keys display the wrong symbol and sometimes the letters look a bit distorted

My keyboard keys seem to act weird when typing online (i.e. Tumblr). The letters look a bit distorted and some keys display the wrong symbol - the asterisk for example, shows up as a lowercase "i" with diaeresis or two top dots. Some characters show up as upside down question mark. It was only funny for a minute, now it's just driving me nuts. And yes, I have gone to the control panel and checked the language and stuff. Help!

yea you should check your layout language and depending on what sire/game you are on you should check their settings aswell if you can change them as like me from europa have different keyboards then the us so in some games when i press and want ? i will get _ so it depends on site settings and so.

do you get that too if you write a normal text document or is it just on some sites?
