Corsair 650 watt PSU (not modular)

plz help!
also sorry about the caps

Well, let's forget about games for a moment. Can your run something like 3dmark? Can you watch a 1080p video using hardware acceleration? If your computer works fine in everything except games, that helps rule out potential problems.

Next, is this a new build? Or have you been using this for a long time and this just started happening? What drive has your games? Have you tried installing a game on each drive to see if one of the drives might be the problem?

A series of stress test are required at stock frequency to determine your issue.

The FX-8350 is officially supported according to the MB specs however your MB has 4 phase VRM cap design so is not meant for Overclocking. If you are OCed the CPU will draw 125W TDP under heavy loads and NB VRMs (Voltage regulator modules) will get hot and above 80C will shut the MB down.

Check your Vcore in bios and try to reduce as much as possible. You should only require 1.25-1.375V MAX on Vcore. If still unstable then try dropping frequency and Vcore to reduce heat output.

oh. no OCs. that may be the problem, but i have not touched the settings in a while and usually it boosts 0.01 to .1 ghz when i look in Task Manager, and if this has anything to do with the Windows release I'm using Windows 10 Insider version build 17133.1
