Should i buy the gtx 1050 ti or gtx 1060 3gb variant. I am just not certain if the 3gb variant will hold up in the future cause of those 3 gb of Vram. Maybe it's better to buy the 1050ti and a better, more expensive power supply unit and overclocking the 1050ti. What do you guys think what should I do?

Solution
FiggyHunter Between the two, you should definitely buy the 1060 3GB GPU. It's a much faster card, despite the 1GB less of VRAM. Your question was a commonly asked one toward the beginning of the Pascal release. Obviously, if you could afford it, the 6GB variant of the 1060 would be the way to go, especially since it's 10% faster than the 3GB model. Regardless, between your two options, buy the 1060 3GB version.
The 1050TI, even overclocked, won't be nearly as good as a 1060.
There's more to GPUs than just frequency. They are not like CPUs.
Cuda Cores, Texture Mapping Units and such also matter.

1060 will yield better performance.
