HELP, wierd backlight problem. aoc 24 inch led

Hey I got this new aoc 24 inch led monitor. When watching movies or playing games where the bottom side is dark, I got a black spotlight on the other white lit bottom. Found this picture its exactly like that, expect its only on black or close to black background. and just one spot. www.dnd.utwente.nl/~grit/backlight/images/uneven-light.jpg I didnt really notice it but when I did i cant get my eyes away from it, like its looking at me taunting me to watch it.. I read somewhere it helped pushing on the screen with my fingers but nothing works. Its driving me insane.

PS: can see it aswell on the black AOC startup screen that comes when I start the monitor up, even with no cables expect the power cable connected so its not any signal thing.

Hey,

it's called "back light bleeding". When you read monitor reviews there always is at least a small paragraph reporting on any visible "bleeding". Some monitors are really bad, some are really good, some are in between.

I personally don't have a solution for your problem though, the only way that I know of is to contact the retailer/store/ or AOC directly and see if they agree to exchange your monitor for a new one. It will depend on their policy though.
