Hi, My Vista Ultimate 64-bit edition OEM keeps crashing and I dont know why. It just randomly happens and it sometimes happens when Vista is loading.

Here is a screenshot of what it shows (it is a blue screen by the way)

Have you installed the latest 7.3 ATI drivers? They are having a major problem and the current advise is to either remove them (and revert to 7.2) or to 'disable' the ATI event service. I just completely removed ATI drivers and am using the native support until ATIl has a re-release (the ATI stuff is getting very piggish anyway).

This is only for the 7.3 release, if that is not an issue then... nevermind.

Are you up-to-date on the ASUS BIOS and your other drivers? ASUS has had numerous crash and burn issues with their firmware that they seemed to have resolved with the latest BIOS and firmware updates for the hardware. If you are up-to-date and it keeps happening, 2 other things to quickly check - first, just remove the Maxtor drive from the ide cable and see if the situation stabilizes. For whatever reason, ASUS Vista and Maxtor don't always play well together. If it doesn't stabilize, try uninstalling the creative drivers and running awhile that way. That's the quickest way to eliminate the 2 biggest issues for an AMD mb.
