So I want to build a new PC that's strictly for gaming, no streaming, video editing or anything. See below. I won't be overclocking.

Budget is $2,500 but obviously lower is better so if there's anything unnecessary I'd like to not spend the extra cash.

So beside getting feedback on the build I have a few questions:
  1. Is it realistic to expect 100-140 FPS @ 1440p with the 2070 SUPER?
  2. Is 16GB RAM enough, or should I go for 32GB?
  3. Will I be needing additional case fans? the Define R5 comes with 2 140mm fans (front and rear).
  4. This build has an estimated wattage of 424W. Will the 550W PSU suffice?
Thanks!

Edit: Just wanted to clarify I'm not expecting to get constant 144fps or even get there at all. Staying above 100fps most of the time will be great.

  2. 16 is more than enough
  3. try first and then add later if not enough
  4. 650+ is better, 550 is cutting close.

Solution
Thanks a lot. I'm not interested in overclocking. Not now and not in the future. Would you still recommend I go for these higher end CPU and mobo in this case?
A higher end CPU not only gives you performance, but adds longevity to your build as well. For example, the 8700k has 6 cores and runs approx. at the same speed as a 9900k. But the 2 extra cores and 4 extra threads on the 9900k can make it last atleast a couple of years over and above the 8700k due to games and softwares growing more demanding with time. Keeping longevity in the mind and spending a few more $$$ now than having to change the entire setup later on, something like this should be good...

In my opinion buying a 9900k to NOT overclock is a huge waste of money. That thing is meant for that sole purpose. Get a Ryzen 3700x and let precision boost do its thing. It will run much cooler and more quiet too.
The higher base clock as well as the turbo clock should take care of the load, but the 3700x is a compelling choice too...
