So I just purchased an Nvidia GTX 750 Ti and when I went to install it, two wires, one white and one black, popped out of the chip that they were connected to and after we got the card installed, I put the wires back into the chip and put the case back together.

When I went to plug the computer in, it booted up and turned on, my razer keyboard and mouse lit up like usual, but there was a problem, the monitor wouldn't respond and it would reply with a
"No Signal" box.

I tried putting the hdmi in the dedicated graphics card slot and no signal. Then into the graphics card hdmi, still no signal. After that I opened the case and switched the wires (the white and black ones) from the ports on the chip they were in, and still no signal.

The card doesn't have a port for a 6-pin connector. I am just wondering what I did to the computer that would make it not respond, was it those black and white cables?

Also my PSU is a 300 Watt which is a pretty weak amount but the guy at BestBuy that sold me the card said it would work just fine with a 300 Watt but it is worth upgrading in the future.

Edit: I figured out that the black and white wires for the chip were just for a wireless connection and nothing to do with the graphics card.

Please help me I would like to get the computer fixed as soon as possible.

Greetings!

Two things real quick: 1) 300w for a psu is really weak for upgrade considerations, and 2) BestBuy isn't usually the best place to find experts in the know:p Granted, there probably are some very knowledgeable folk there, sadly though they have never been there when I needed to ask questions that were not leading to a sale.

It is my guess that either one of two things is happening potentially: Either you have a an issue with the gpu itself, or you have an issue with the power supply.

Here are a couple things to try: 1) You can take your 750ti and put it in a friend's computer and see if he/she has the same issue, or you can try a different power supply (borrow one if possible) to test on your system to see if that...

The results of these tests can definitely help narrow down where the issue is stemming from.

Hope this helps!
