Help with a budget build

Hi guys, I need a build that can run most modern games on high settings at 60 fps on 1080p. I don't need any peripherals, just the tower. I live near a micro center which is in columbus ohio. I prefer to buy all my parts in store from them since they offer help with building if you do so. I want the build to easily upgradeable in the future; I plan on upgrading the gpu and cpu asap. I prefer it to be an Intel build.

Budget is 700$

Solution
I doubt very seriously that game will really use hyperthreading to any real extent during the life of this CPU. Also, what streaming software do you plant o use? Some are no different on an i5 vs an i7.
Go for an i5 4590 and an h97 motherboard

8gb of 1600mhz RAM. Probably Crucial brand.

Coolermaster Hyper tx3 CPU cooler

550-650w PSU from Antec, XFX, Seasonic, EVGA (G2,B2,GS)

Any mid-tower case you like.

A 1tb HDD. Seagate or WD Blue.

Cheap $10 DVD drive

Bets GPU you can get with the rest of the money.

CPU: i5-4590 $145
Motherboard: ASRock H97M Pro $70
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB DDR3-1600 $55
HD: WD Blue 1TB 7,200 RPM $55
GPU: ASUS GeForce GTX 960 Overclocked 2GB GDDR5 $210
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA GS 650w $115
Case: your choice

All from Microcenter

PSU is poor quality. An Antec HCG620 or 520 would be a better idea.

At Microcenter they have a 290x on sale for 239$ is it worth it to just get that over the 960? What kind of performance increase would I be getting?

That is a steal of a price, for a 290x.

Me so jealous. Nearest Microcenter is 2 hours away from me, but I went there once just to look around. Go there and you can get every part you need for a good price. Get a good CPU/MOBO combo and a open box case and you are set. RAM and SSD's are also there for a good price.

He is right about cheaper, because currently the 4690k is like about $10 more then the 4590 at the microcenter. I am don't know what MOBO combos they have, but I am sure you can ask. Damn you just missed a super GTX 970 deal about 5 days ago. $153 in store GTX 970 new.

Can you recommend a good PSU for the 290x?

I don't plan on over clocking so should I just stick with the 4590? I also plan to upgrade to an i7 within a few weeks so...

A few means around 3? If you plan on switching out for an i7 why not just wait a month and save yourself $150?

Not when you can typically get the bundle deal, for less. http://www.microcenter.com/site/brands/intel-processor-bundles.aspx Keep in mind this list isn't complete. Any compatible motherboard is eligible for the discount. So any H97 board will still be eligible. Overclock or not, spending less, is a good thing here.

I plan on streaming, and it doesn't really hurt tbh and, in the future when more games utilize hyper threading it will be pretty good.

Do not go with an i7. Go with a Xeon 1231v3, instead. Same, if not slightly better performance, than an i7 4770, for the price of an i5.
