So my mom has been talking about getting a new pc lately and i want to give her a hand but the budget is low and im not entirely sure where the priorities are in a office pc.

I assume i can leave out a GPU and just put a dual core in there but im not sure.

Budget would be 500-600 CAD Any suggestions appreciated.
(If you can go cheaper then feel free but im thinking thats a good amount.)

No i have a 1700 rig already. :D

This is purely for my mom who isnt very good with tech. It will just be microsoft word, emails and monitoring cameras.

I wanna say throw a dual core and an SSD in the build because that seems to work wonders with school computers. Am i right ?

ya know what? if you could say "hey that loaded 1024.75 milliseconds faster!!!" then get a ssd....other than that get a new 7200rpm hdd and youll be fine.

take this for example: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/3kL7YJ/samsung-internal-hard-drive-mz75e250bam

the samsung evo line is what we have been recomending lately for gaming; you're at 125$ already for 250gb total storage. then your hdd you have. on-board graphics, 4gb of dual channel ram, 80+450w psu.
