hi. i need help with trying to build a modern low latency pc build that is suitable for competitive gaming at a high level. price is not an issue.
sorry if my part picking is bad, i am new & uneducated in this field and i know lots more about dpc latency as well as inside the os's latency rather than hardware latency and good pc parts.

The best cpu atm for pure gaming is the 7800x3D. This build can also be done in ARGB.

If you want top tier products:

Flagship B650 mobo with overkill VRMs

one of the best air coolers

Fast rams

PCIE 5.0 SSD

Hybrid GPU, use the rad as exhaust at the top to give fresh cool air for the air cooler.

case comes with front panel Type C and ARGB

ATX 3.0 Tier A platinum PSU

P.S.: I would suggest you to get the X870 mobo launching in July for USB 4.0 support.

i am open to suggestions on things rather than the 4090 and 14900k

cpu: Intel Core i9-14900K 3.2 GHz 24-Core Processor ($548.99 @ amazon)
cpu cooler: ?
mobo: ?
memory: ?
storage: Samsung 990 Pro 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive ($169.99 @ amazon)
video card: NVIDIA Founders Edition GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB Video Card ($2329.98 @ amazon)
ps: ?
From a pure gaming perspective, and from a platform support perspective, AM5 is the way to go. The 7800X3D is the fastest pure gaming cpu that is currently available, and AM5 will be supported until 2027, meaning you'll have an upgrade path in the future. From a GPU perspective, the RTX 4090 is the fastest gaming GPU around, but youre paying for it. I've included an RTX 4080 super review because its from January and it includes all of the cards you would be thinking about purchasing. You could also hold out for 5 or 6 months and see what the market looks like, AMD Ryzen 9000, Intel Core 15000, RTX 5000, and RX 8000 series CPU's and GPU's should be out by then.

okay i think ive finished, thoughts?

You need low latency rams for ryzen.

6000mhz CL30 or 6400mhz CL32 or better.

The mobo supports pcie 5.0 ssd, might as well spend the extra cash to get the fastest ssd - crucial T700

The Suprim x liquid is cheaper than the Founder's edition and has higher boost clocks. Having the radiator as exhaust helps in the performance by keeping the case internals cool.

Like I said, if you can wait till next month, X870 mobo will give you USB 4.0 support.

Consider this monitor instead:

https://www.tomshardware.com/monito...27-inch-qhd-oled-360-hz-gaming-monitor-review

https://www.amazon.com/MSI-MAG-271QPX-QD-OLED-Response/dp/B0CWPXVQJN/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=3RD9M5FAA6BPV&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.hmGCU29vJS4FbYWQJcogxfGsXABOgxveYLb67YKzclMGBer7oZ3EZoc1PIHYNb3oH33bZPd1dDKT0AaRqQcLtSLhy8FgyCuRo9aIJc3uYh0CGaweRF5vUfJwh4FPnUbIN42OLFLaCGAA0QpfFqbfR5ANpTGnAQsoyIP1OBIDdtY.t8QxvTwk-0fBITA_vzmDTdwuyc2CqaBblefAeUN5ww0&dib_tag=se&keywords=MSI+MPG271QRX&qid=1718260863&sprefix=msi+mpg271qrx,aps,149&sr=8-3

OLED panel eliminates motion blur making BenQ Dyac+ redundant.

A few things to consider ... most of all that fish tank case. Those fish tank cases take in air from the side of the case. Ideally you want your intake fans on the front of the case so that they blow fresh air over the components. Peeps that use those cases usually add a bunch of 120mm fans to those cases in order to get better thermals. If you're going to spend as much time on your PC gaming as I think you are then you want a more practical case. Another thing is if you want to go high end on your psu then look at the Seasonic Vortex which comes with a 12 year warranty and is pretty much bullet proof. 1200W gives you a bit of headroom and doesn't have your psu working as hard which means longer lifespan. The last thing to note is if you're going to go high end on your board then consider an Asus ROG board which allows you to update your bios without ever having to install the cpu & RAM.

This gives you a case with much better airflow along with a light show not to mention this case is a dream to work with if using an AIO. Replace the 140mm exhaust fan that's included with this case with the 140mm ARGB fan down below for the full effect.

Add this to that case in this build (ARGB controller/USB port). You can also find it on Amazon and B&H Photo.

If you want RGB rams: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/9R...dr5-6400-cl32-memory-f5-6400j3239g16ga2-tz5rk

The O11 XL has 4 x type A USB ports and a Type C port.

Front Panel USB

  • USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C
  • USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A
the Taichi lite has the following:

  • 1 USB4 Type-C (Rear),
    1 USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C (Front),
    3 USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A (Rear),
    10 USB 3.2 Gen1 (8 Rear, 2 Front)
So as you can see, you need a USB header for 1 of the type A ports in the front. You can leave it unused/closed as as well if you want.

The radiator compatibility is not listed properly in PCPP. You can use the side or the bottom for the GPU rad. no worries.

Since you are using an AIO cooler, there should be no compatibility issues with RAM.

@Why_Me seasonic is great, but the dark power 13 is also a good unit, it sits on the top of HWbusters PSU charts.

ROG mobo are good, but they charge a hefty premium compared to Gigabyte and Asrock boards. the taichi lite is a great bang for buck mobo.

if you want the O11 look, try this case instead: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/tXhv6h/phanteks-nv5-atx-mid-tower-case-ph-nv523tg_dbk01

A build of this caliber should at least have a 1440p monitor. Some overspending going on too. A 4090, in the titles you are looking to play, will still run at really high FPS, at 1440p. Overwatch for instance can run on a potato, with a 4090, at 1440p, 360fps+, at 1440p, is a cake walk.

I trimmed a bit on some things, got you an X670E motherboard, 64gb ram, and a 360hz 1440p monitor.
