I am a Twitch streamer looking to go full-time and to create clips, highlights, tutorials and more for other sites like YouTube.

I would skip the Ryzen 7 3800X is a waste of money which only gives you ~1% more performance compared to the 3700X. As for the thermal paste, I like the MX-4 more :)

The new i5s are not very good for streaming, and pairing an I5 with a 2080ti is very unbalanced.

The 6 threads of a 9600k sometimes max out and cause stutter in demanding games, so there is definitely no way you can stream and game simultaneously.

Look for at least an I7, or ideally look for any 3rd generation Ryzen CPU, which all demolish the 9600k for streaming.

Hi there, I agree with NightHawkRMX (in almost everything), the 9600K is not the best choice of CPU out there right now, and with an RTX 2080ti is not very well balanced, in fact an RTX 2080ti is really overkill for a 8XXp resolution.
I can understand you wana have more than you need in this case. I also believe that the RTX 2080 Super should be a pretty solid choice with lots of performance and way cheaper.

Don't listen to userbenchmark. They have garbage comparisons mainly comparing single threaded performance

For some more evidence, Userbenchmark show a 4 threaded $150 I3 9350k performs 10% better than a $2000 18 core and 36 threaded I9 extreme edition. Do you really think this is the case?

The 9600k stutters badly and has low 1% framerates even when not streaming. Streaming is just a no go as the extra load will only make this worse.

The 3700x will gave close or a little lower averages but much more stable framerate and much better streaming performance.

Tldr: Don't buy a 9600k for streaming.

Its quite simple, the Core i5 9600K is a very good CPU and if you wana know yes, its way, way better than your old FX-6300.

If you wana get a balanced system and go the intel's way, get atleast the Core i7 9700K (8 cores/8 threads) with the cooler you mention (Noctua) and buy instead the nvidia RTX 2080 Super (the money you save here you spend on the more powerfull CPU).

Either way, the Ryzen 3700X is also a huge, really huge and way better CPU than the FX-6300. And the advantage over the 9th gen Intel's Core i5 and i7 is that the Ryzen comes with SMT enable, its an 8 Cores / 16 Threads cpu. What does it mean to you?, simple you have more resources availables to work with, specially when you do many things at the same time. The 3700X should give you better 1% lows and thats whats going to give you a more smooth gameplay.

I used to own a Core i5 3570 which was in all scenarios faster than your FX-6300, a few months ago I was able to get a Ryzen 5 3600 (6 cores / 12 threads), which is (when playing at 1080p) a bit slower in some games than the 9600K, equal in others and better in some of them. But man what a huge diference over the Core i5 3570 I used to play with!. And the few times I do some personal video editing and rendering its way, way faster than the old Core i5.

You're still throwing your money away with any extra thermal compound. Any decent cooler you buy should include stuff that's better than Arctic Silver. And then if you're streaming, DO NOT use Wifi. You will be making a huge mistake doing that. Always use the hard wired connection on your motherboard - it's there for a reason and it will provide a much faster and more stable connection.

With that being said though the 3800x is only 8% better than the 3600 (non-x). I've also been hearing the memory controller on the 3600, 3600x, 3700x & 3800x memory bandwidth has a high latency and is limited compared to intels causing less of a performance in gaming when comparing the i7-9700K vs 3800x the 3800x was 10% worse in gaming performance but 30% better in multi-tasking speed due to the memory controllers.

Has that changed? because if that's the case why not go 3900x and and spend $500 on CPU to make up for the $650 GPU?

I also used MX-4 on my fx-6300 clocked to 4.8GHz and I'm under temp with a hyper 212 Evo with no throttling or overheating. So I feel like it's still a good choice. I wanted to use it when I give away my current build on Twitch to make sure the 970 and fx-6300 stay stable for another few years for whoever has it.

Uh... what? Wifi cards are for internet access, they will not operate peripherals. I think you are getting Wifi cards and Bluetooth adapters confused, these are two completely different things.

It has Bluetooth 4.0, they'll operate good with Bluetooth 4.0, I don't think they make Bluetooth or Xbox One Controller adapters for PCI/PCI-e. Most modern Wifi Cards include Bluetooth 2.0/3.0/4.0 band capability. You can also tether them to a Bluetooth device such as a tablet and transfer files or give them access to your bluetooth by bridging the connection thus creating less chaos on the wifi network

For gaming.
For gaming+streaming that can leverage the extra cores of the 3800x, the difference will be greater.

The latency and bandwidth is not great, but not bad at all. You can go 3900x if you want for streaming, but id go 3700x/3800x

So basically the setup with the 3700x will be best to go with? Let's say I fall short on budget. Should I go 3600 or should I go with a 2070? Also, what RAM speed do you recomend with the CPUs? I heard people say the Ryzen CPUs are rated for a higher RAM speed than they actually benefit from.

Some people said the 3600 can handle up to 3200 and anything above is a waste, but I've seen videos where 4200/3800/3200 were compared and 4200 recieved the best FPS average and low 1% compared to the others in any CPU intense game/program regardless of CL

If you get the noctua cooler, it will come noctua nt-1 compound. Better than the mx4, and enough for a couple applications.

I can almost guarantee that if you're still on a 6300 you would not notice the few percent less the ryzen gives for performance while gaming. The new setup will be so much better than old those comparisons seem moot.

I was thinking of getting the noctua 14/15 but during my research I found you need to purchase a separate AM4 adapter with them I'd rather look for something compatible out the box. Do you have other suggestions? The h100i RGB looks cool but is it quite too?
 
The noctua now include the correct am4 bracket. You'd just have to make sure wherever you purchase from has new stock. From the website, says now includes bracket as of 2019, so most retailers will have the correct packaging.

I had an older h100 version. It was quite to me. And the newer ones include better fans. I cant speak on noise levels from the newer models though. Also noise has never really been a huge concern of mine, so I rarely pay attention to noise levels. I'd watch some reviews and see what folks are saying about it. It's a solid cooler though. And you could always replace the fans with better/quieter fans.
