Help with Acer Aspire One D250 disassembly?

I am trying to disassemble my Acer Aspire One D250. Basically I followed this (http://goo.gl/dSBEH) guide, but when I get to the part where you use a credit card to pop the case off the motherboard, it gets really hard around the touchpad area, and I stop out of fear of breaking it. Have I missed something? Thanks!
