Help! with advise on components

We have decided to build one ouseleves but we have no idea what to get and where to get the parts at a better price. it will be mainly used for gaming and TV. Would you please help us by giving some suggestions and recommendations? There was an reply with advice on components to get early on in the post but noe i can't find it, help!!
