Help with Alienware 15R2 ram. I’m getting 4 beeps

I’ve seen this come up in other conversation but I don’t believe it’s been resolved. I have a 15 R2 and I’m trying to upgrade my 8gb ram to 16gb.

I first tried

When I got the product I installed the ram and when I turned on my computer I got a black screen and 4 beeps. I called customer service for Alienware and the ram. They both told me it’s a defective kit. So I returned the product.

Then I ordered
HyperX HX424S14IB2K2/16 Impact Black... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0722Q3243?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

I pop it in and get 4 beeps. So I don’t think it’s the ram kits.

My bios is 1.4.4

I also have a samsung evo ssd but I don’t think that should be the problem.

If anyone could help I would really appreciate it.

Have you tried with a single stick keeping the other slots empty? Does the original stick work without issues?

I’ve tried each stick individually in each slot and tried running it with one stick.

My original ones are working fine when I put them back in.

On another forum someone suggested it could be the 2400 MHz but I just ordered the 2133 hyper x and that still didn’t work

I would suggest going for some standard 2133MHz stick instead of the hyper X. Try the other slot, keeping the first slot empty. One of those sticks should work in either of the slots, else there is a compatibility issue.
