Question Help with an upgrade

Hey guys hows it going, I want to upgrade my computer, and I am currently running a nvidia gt 1060 6gb ftw, a corei-5 6400 and the board is a gygabite sniper b1. I want to upgrade my processor but I wanted to ask which line is better for gaming the corei-5 one right? I really want to get the corei 5 9600k, but I want to ask if that would be the best choice for a gaming upgrade? or which processors would you recommend me.

Yes the i5-9600k was voted best cpu for gaming but it has low lower end fps numbers. But the 8700k will give you the best overall gaming experience, no stuttering etc and higher low end fps..
