Help With ASUS ZenDrive VIM Stand-Alone DVD Driver/Writer

Hello ---

I just bought the above mentioned player for my rig, but am unsure of what kind of cable to ask for. T C-Type cable which comes out of the back obviously needs a female receptacle on one end, and a type A plug-in on the other. Is this correct, because when I asked for this at a local office supply store, they didn't know what I was talking about. So then I looked at Amazon and their description confused me so much that now I don't know what to buy. Can someone please advise me? I'm 73 with dementia problems and I could sure use some help. Thank you.

depend on your pc have usb c or not.
if you have usbc on the pc. just a usbc to usbc cable
if not, usbc to usba cable

After all this time, I just wanted to check in with you, and let you know I am still hunting for that female C to Male A cable for this player. I have had 4 shipments from Amazon, and one to Staples Office Products and no one can sell me a cable as I have described it. Could it be they don't make it because of some incompatibility? I have now bought 2 adaptors which I didn't want because I like a clean connection. They are :

what do you mean female C to male A? the player have the female(port), and the PC have the female(port)

What is coming out of the back is a C USB plug. Where I want to plug it in (on top of my rig) there are type A receptacles. I don't know what else to write. There are only 5 inches of cable coming out of the player. I cannot use it that way and that is why I need the extension. My PC has A ports.
