Help with Battlefield Bad Company 2

Can anyone tell me how to change the FOV in Battlefield Bad Company 2? i did try the bc2 fov calculator it said 65 i have a 1440x900 16:10 i tried changing it in the .ini file to 65 even on 110 but it didn't make any difference in the single player however when i play multiplayer the FOV is just fine as i set it on 80 but in the Single Player the FOV is just horrible i can't stand it anyone got a solution?

the options menu in that game blows and has issues its just the way it is I have the retail disk and it for the most part don't work too well for me I just leave it alone cause some settings you change can cause the game to freeze, lock up, and crash .. don't forget it is a EA product so no surprises there

I'm not experiencing any crashes or freezes my pc handles the game just fine at costant 100+ fps no problem the thing that bugs me is the friking Field Of View in SINGLE PLAYER not in multiplayer because it works fine in multiplayer if anyone and i do mean anyone knows how to fix it please share your solution because its really frustrating to play at a 55 fov (console players wouldn't mind -_- ) but i do i always played games at around 80 to 90 fov and i just can't enjoy the game

as mine its the brightness slider I can slide it all day long and not change a thing its EA there games are known to be buggy , always have always will
