Help with BF3

asus m4a785-m
phenom II x4 925 2.8ghz
6gig kingston ddr2 800
500gb wd sata2 hdd
msi 6970 2gig afterburner video card
windows 7 ultimate

All drivers are fully up to date along with windows. When i play bf3 @ 1680x1050 i cannot hold 60fps even on all low settings. i run from 28 to 60 with avg being about 40fps. This does not seem right for my rig. I cannot figure out why i cant keep 60 fps with my system. any help is appreciated.

you should overclock, not sure about your question but do your research and overclock

A 6970 should give you around 40fps average with all settings max (Ultra+4xMSAA) so if youre getting 40fps average on all low, then you are indeed underperforming.

Your processor is a bit on the poor side and your RAM is a little outdated now (DDR3 is the new standard), so maybe a Mobo+CPU+RAM upgrade bundle is required.

dude get ddr3 ram. Phenom II x4 with ddr2 just don't go together very well
