Question Help with BIOS setting on Asus ROG Crosshair VII Wifi ?

First off i'm running an ASUS ROG Crosshair VII X470 Wifi motherboard using an Nvidia 1080 and i have a Samsung 970 Pro 1TB Nvme M.2 drive.

Now over the past few days i've been reading things and watching videos on youtube that states if u set both PCIe x16 Slot which has the Nvidia 1080 and the first M.2 Port slot using the Samsung NVMe SSD from AUTO LINK settings to Gen 3 it should function faster.

Before i start making changes to the Bios i'm just wondering what people think about this?
