Help with blinking laptop

Hi,

I have a 17" P-6860 Gateway, and recently the lcd has started blinking, but actually it dims out and then returns to normal and so on (making a blinking effect).

I've already changed the inversor but it still the same, and besides i can't access windows in normal mode because it prompts a blue screen with a monitor.sys error.

I'd appreciate any help you can give. thanks.

You could try updating all the drivers for you laptop.

Also, google the make and model of your laptop with the error you re getting and see what turn up. Others might have the same problems as you.
