Problem:

computer will not boot. when i turn on the computer it lags up at the MOBO logo screen a bit longer then it would normally. after it leaves this screen ( would normally start to load windows) it displays a blue screen with info saying "Your PC needs to be repaired" and " a required device isn't connected or can't be accessed" with code 0xc000000e.

More Info:

i have two drives in my PC one SSD and a HDD the HDD is for my storage and the SSD if for my OS and drivers as well as hardware controlling programs. when i go into the BIOS the SSD is no longer displayed. i have changed SATA cables MOBO ports and power cord i can not get the SSD to show up under attached hardware.

Question:

is this a hardware problem( bad SSD )? or is it a software Problem? i feel like i have a bad SSD due to it not being recognized. but the bit of research i have done on the code, my PC is using the SSD to get to the blue screen.

metaplunk:

i do not have anything plunged in when i do any kind of troubleshooting ( i have made this mistake before). i will look into a "MBR" issue.

also i was told by the IT guy at my office to try and reload windows onto the PC. Is this a good idea or no?

Edit:
i will try a MBR fix when i get home. this seem like it could be my problem. I will keep you updated

If the drive is not showing up in BIOS there is little question of an issue with the partition table.
You can try the solution the MS support site mentions but again I very much doubt that the recovery disk/USB will be able to recognize the OS.
Other than this I will recommend installing the OS onto your HDD for the time being to ensure it is not a problem with some other components. Also if you can try out the ssd in some other system.

ok so i have tried the MBR fix. I also tried a repair install of windows, i was unable to access the SSD for the install windows said that it was "locked". could not find anything in bios to unlock it. pluged it into another working PC and still did not show up. i am now sure that the drive is dead, so i installed a HDD that i had laying around for temporary use.
