Hi, I've had Frontier DSL and it came with a Actiontec q1000 router/modem. Although not completely terrible, my roomates have been complaining about some of their devices not working very well with our router. So I wanted to replace the router with a TP-Link 300 Mbps router. Right now, I have a setup where the Actiontec q1000 is connected only to the phone line and power. While my TP-Link router has all our devices connected to it and its internet port connected to one of the ethernet ports on the Actiontec. Is this the correct way to bridge two routers? Although it works in general, the performance is not as great as I had hoped, is there anyway to improve this setup?
