My motherboard is the MSI Z170a PC MATE.
So recently, when taking out my graphics card, I accidently also took out the black cover which protected the PCI-e pins. After fiddling with them and trying to put the cover back on, I ended up with very bent pins. Some of the top and bottom row pins are touching.

(Although you can't really see the bent pins)
So when asking for some help someone said that I could try using my Graphics card on my other PCI-e slot, however first I had to seperate the front and bottom row pins from touching on the broken PCI-e slot so that I would prevent a short circuit.
So my question is, is this true? and if it is, can I bend every pin on it because that is the only way that I will be able to separate the front and bottom row pins.
Thanks for reading!
