Help! I recently received a BSOD with the following error message: "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (dxgmms2.sys)". I have used DDU and performed a clean install of the display drivers, however, during installation I either get another BSOD or pc crash. If I remove all display drivers, the system runs fine (ish) as long as I'm not running any graphics intensive programs. I have tried many things and cannot seem to solve this problem. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My PC is getting a bit long in the tooth but is as follows:

Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD MB
i7-2600K sandy bridge
G Skill Ripjaws series 8 Gb (+ 8 Gb more that I installed last year)
EVGA Geforce GTX 570
Samsung Spinpoint HDD
Corsair TX series 750W
Windows 10

IRQ errors are most often found to be driver related.

try updating motherboard drivers and/or bios
then run driver booster and see what it finds

The memory diagnostic tool is a good place to start or you can use http://www.memtest86.com/ and create a bootable USB and test each stick individually
Hi,

Instead of using the DDU, do try doing it manually.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the Nvidia graphics driver.
- Next is to open Programs and Features then uninstall anything related to Nvidia.
- Once done, download and install the latest driver.
- Here's the link: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx
- Reboot the laptop once the latest driver has been installed then test it again.
- Do also test the RAM just to make sure it's not also related to it.
- If the test will pass with the RAM's, proceed with doing a clean install of Windows 10 as the last option.

Unfortunately, I've tried uninstalling and fresh installing many different ways and it has only led to frustrations.

Just to make sure I understand you for your next tip, by "test the RAM" do you mean to run the Memory Diagnostics Tool? Or is there another way I am not aware of?
