Hello, I want to build a custom pc, overclock the cpu to around 4.4GHz
This is what I have in mind, but I'm not sure if the cpu and ram will work together?? being quad and dual?
anyway, can you suggest a pc that will run at a similar power? I still want the same graphics card and ram but please suggest an alternative Intel i5 or i7 CPU and Motherboard and Case which would cost lower.
I have a budget of £2000, £300 of which will be spent towards monitor (it'd be great if you can suggest a 27" one too!!) and the main purpose would be gaming.
-1x EVGA GeForce GTX 770 Classified 4GB (later will be made 2x SLI)
-Intel 4820K 3.70GHz (Ivybridge-E) Socket LGA2011 Processor
-Gigabyte X79-UP4 Intel X79 (Socket 2011) DDR3 Motherboard
-Corsair Dominator PLATINUM 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-15000C9 1866MHz Dual Channel
-Western Digital VelociRaptor 1TB 10000RPM SATA 6Gb/s
-Kingston HyperX 3K SSD 240GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s SSD
-Corsair Hydro H100i High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler
-Corsair Obsidian 900D Super Tower Case
-relative power and fans
total cost of this system is £1800.
Thanks for your time and help!
